1. raisins in his pasta

d tell your father he’d BETTER be nice to his new girl — after all, she can do many subtle things to make his life miserable, too: serve the food when it’s no longer hot, the tea when it’s already going luke-warm, leave windows open to expose him to drafts, his slippers just out of reach — all the usual stuff servants excel at to get back at their cruel bosses. </div> <div><br></div> <div>Further: Misplace the books he’s in the middle of reading; sweep the dirt under the rug; make the coffee too sweet, or use salt instead of sugar, sugar instead of salt. Put raisins in his pasta — all by mistake, of course. Theoretically, the list is endless. </div> <div>If you go into detail, maybe you can make him fearful enough to be nice! Utilize your acting talent in a seemingly compassionate, but at the heart of things shrewdly sadistic appeal to his better nature. </div> <div><br></div> <div>I’m doing fine here. Writing, getting up late, petting the cat, enjoying Paulie. </div> <div><br></div>
